To help you either narrow down or expand the scope of your idea, read the article The Evolution of an Image. Pitch your idea to a group of your peers. Note their comments and feedback in your on-going Evernote note. Look for images online that support your planning. Google images, Flickr, even Google Streetview can all help you in your planning.
