10 x 10 x 10 x 10
For this assignment you are on a bit of a scavenger hunt. You will work in pairs and travel 10 minutes from class to gather 10 photos.
PROCESS
The first 10: 10 minutes.
Set a timer for 10 minutes and start walking. When your timer runs out note exactly where you are. Mark this point on the floor with chalk.
The second 10: 10 meters.
From your starting point, you have a radius of 10 meters. Your photos must be taken from within this 10-meter radius.
The third 10: 10 minutes.
You have 10 minutes to take your photos. Look around. Find an angle. Decide on something about this 10-meter circle that is unique. Something that tells a story. Look for an interesting subject, viewpoint, angle, or composition.
Get close. Get low. Zoom in. Zoom out. Experiment with the settings that produced our ‘bad photos’. What happens if you over-expose on purpose? Under-expose? What if you purposely select the wrong white balance? Remember composition. Remember leading lines. Remember emphasis.

The fourth 10. 10 photos.
Take 10 photos. Head back to class. Copy your images to a computer, name them, and upload them to Flickr.
