LESSON 4.5
DOG EDITING CHALLENGE
DURATION 3-4 LESSONS
Key concepts: Critical thinking and planning. Application of skills and tools.
The following is a Photoshop editing challenge. There are three dog images that need to be completed. There is an easy one, a medium one and a hard one. Beginning with the easy one, use your skills to finish the image as realistically as you can. Use any combination of cut, copy, paste, transform, clone, rotate or any other tool you have used. Remember to be aware of which layer you are on. Also, be sure to look for repetition in the background. Too much copying and pasting will make it look unrealistic.
Good luck.
You can see the images below. Drag the image to your desktop, and then begin working on them.
DOG 1
EASY
This one is pretty straightforward. See if you think of ways to make the left side look a little different than the right side. Looking less like a mirror image helps sell the authenticity of the final product.
DOG 2
MEDIUM
This one's a little more involved. Use the Filter > Generate clouds and your selection skills, combined with creative use of layers to finish Fido.

DOG 3
DIFFICULT
Meet Max. Max difficulty.
