LESSON 3.X.

 TYPE WEBSITE PORTFOLIO

Part of your assessment for this unit will be based on your ability to create a complete, designed portfolio page using content from lesson 3-1 in this unit. Unlike previous portfolio entries, this page is being assessed for more than just completion. The rubric outlines the elements being graded.

 REQUIREMENTS

Your website should include all of the following:

  • an introduction to typography

  • 4 categories of typefaces
  • 2 interesting things we learned about type/fonts

  • any definitions you think are important (glyphs, ligatures etc)

For the second part of the page, you will document the process of creating your logo switch assignment, including

  • your two original selected logos (e.g. IBM and Ford)

  • your hand-drawn version (take a photo on your photo and send it to yourself)

  • a write-up outlining the main points of your process

  • your final ligature/logo
